ONCEIM - Orchestra of New Musical Creations and Experimentations (AT, CH, FR, IT)

Quiet, sallow, hypnotic developments that lever out time. Solitary wonderful sound that can not be traced back to any conventionally played instrument. Completely new experiences of musical spaces and distances. Slow motion music.

88-year old composer Éliane Radigue studied musique concrète under Pierre Schaeffer, devote herself to electronic music for decades and started writing music for acoustic instruments at an old age. Every piece is composed for a specific instrumentalist – this is how she is building the cycle Occam for years. A whole sea of sounds is the Occam Ocean, congenially performed by ONCEIM. This orchestra demonstrates how more than 20 idiosyncratic individualists, specialists between New Music and improvised music melt into a subtle and magic stream of sound.
