An “impossible ensemble“, thats how the musicians describe their trio. The clarity of classic intonation encounters strange string noise, wonderful jazz melodies meet odd throat sining. But the name tells everything: Picatrix is an Arabic collection of texts from the 11th century that deal with wisdom and equality of arts.
Let’s see how this “impossible ensemble“ integrates one of the few artist that already played the first New Jazz Festival Moers in 1972: Dutch drum master Han Bennik is back at the Lower Rhine!
