discussions: fun medicine?
An unpredictable saxophone from Minsk, two advanced stages of percussive mayhem and a therapy resistant electric wishing table.
It’s as if Achim Krämer and his drum set have fused into one organic instrument, one with which he is able to express his insane imagination. For Carolin Pook the drums are a healthy alternative for channelling her compositional outbursts into another sonic language. Noise professor Achim Zepezauer, responsible for the consciousness expanding sound forest in the festival village, mixes and manipulates in surreal and analogue fashion. And then there’s the fourth character in this medicinal encounter, rabid giant Pavel Arakelian, who has broken out of his saxophone crypt in Minsk to come and stir things up in Moers: Roawrrrr!
The outcome is uncertain...
