The ensemble Kornblum-Familie consists of Ronald Blum and his sons Florin and Andolin Körner. Musically, the trio moves between early music, folk and improvisation, between the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and modernity. 13-year-old Florin plays modern harps, while 12-year-old Andolin plays Baroque viols. Ronald Blum for his part accompanies his sons with percussion on the frame drum, on piano and on medieval keyboard instruments such as the clavicymbalum, a precursor to the cembalo, and the medieval organ pipe instrument known as the portative.
