Festivaldörfchen am Gymnasium Filder Benden
- Moritz Simon Geist
Moritz Simon Geist “MR-808” (DE)
The big people had advised Moritz to stop drawing open and closed giant machines and to be more interested in electronics, computer science and mechanics. Incidentally, he was also advised to study geography. So it was that he gave up a great career, that of draftsman, at a young age. The failure of his drawings #1 and #2 (the Atari 520 ST in a Zuse Z 1, if you remember) had discouraged him a bit.
Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it's too tiring for children to have to explain to them over and over again. So he was forced to choose another profession and learned to solder and program. Since then, he has flown around the world in his meanwhile somewhat smaller machines and can tell the difference between a field effect transistor and a resistor at first glance. This is very useful if you have to do some moersylunization in the semi-darkness of the schoolyard in Filder Benden.
