Farewell Session and Hand-Off Concert for Improviser in Residence
Dear friends of the improviser in residence, dear members of the press, dear editorial departments,
The year-long Moers residency of Essen-based trumpet player John-Dennis Renken is drawing to a close and his (as yet secret) successor has now been selected. In this context, we would like to invite you to two events.
For his farewell session, the 10th improviser in residence, John-Dennis Renken, has invited illustrious guests to join him on stage.
On Saturday, 30 December, at 7 pm, Angelika Niescier (sax, 1st Moers improviser in residence), Sven Decker (sax, cl), Laia Genc (p), Markus Braun (b) and Jo Beyer (dr) will pay a visit to the improviser’s residence at Kleine Allee 10 in Moers.
We would also like to warmly invite you to get to know the new improviser in residence and at the same time to bid farewell to John-Dennis Renken at a hand-off concert on
Saturday, 27 January 2018, at 8 pm (doors open at 7:30)
in the chamber music room Martinstift of the Moers city music school at Filder Straße 126.
Admission is free of charge.
Following the hand-off concert, drinks will be served in the foyer of the chamber music room. Please stay and raise a glass with us to a successful 2017 and an exciting 2018!
We look forward to seeing you!
