Dsilton (AT)

The music of Dsilton melds microtonal tunings, groovy, modulating rhythms and energetic arrangements. The trio from Vienna employs a special set of tools to achieve their aims: retuned keyboard instruments and a newly developed electric guitar with 31 frets per octave open up an extended spectrum of sounds, while the drums churn out complex rhythms on top. The music ranges from explorations of the early jazz idiom to serial compositions (utilizing all 31-tones, of course) all the way to processed field recordings captured all around the world.
