A previous moers festival guest in the context of 2022's focus on Israel, Maya Dunietz is a remarkable composer, pianist and performance artist who treats her musical creations, installations and sculptures as equally important. This year, together with daredevil Chris Cutler and woodwind-guitar anthropologist Tim Hodgkinson on the batons, she will again chart her dream realm of sound creation, motoric mastery and ingenious substrate. Following on the heels of a warm-up residency in London's Café OTO, this trio spectacle is a must-hear for all those besotted by experimental music full of witty interplay and spontaneity.
