The Peschkenhaus also welcomes back a familiar face: Hayden Chisholm (sax), the 2015 Improviser in Residence. The New Zealand-born musician, now based in Belgrade, presents a solo performance that moves fluidly between jazz, world music, and contemporary improvisation.
The second set features Jun-Y Ciao, born in Shanghai and currently based in both China and Germany. He is an artist, improviser, composer of experimental music, and curator. For the past fifteen years, he has been one of the most active figures in China’s improvised music scene. He is the founder of the "Free Music Collective of Shanghai" and the art organization “Where is the Zeitgeist? – Editing Office.”
