Hauptbühne

Once upon a time, there was a secret guild called SORBD, gathered from distant lands of free sound. Word spread that five wondrous players unfurled their tones like peacocks spreading their tails, each a master and bearer of her own unique voice. On their journey to the Lower Rhine, they were heard singing, humming, and bowing, as if the sounds themselves spoke.

There, the tones flowed freely - sometimes wild and untamed like a storm, sometimes gentle and ordered like a nightingale’s song. Sweet and bitter melodies arose, now whispering, now exultant, and long after, people sang of the sounds that wandered through the town like a fairy tale.

And whoever listened to SORBD felt the music sweep through the soul like a mysterious wind.
