“For many fans the sessions are the actual moers festival!” (Angelika Niescier). The place where hundreds of visitors come to witness sound trips, encounters, sudden explosions of ad hoc formations since 1979. But “ad hoc” only at first sight: curator Jan Klare has a discernment for putting together his fellow musicians in constellations that promise a maximum of tension and adventure. Maybe the essence of the festival: improvisation in its purest form!
