Once upon a time, there was a sound magician named Wanja who spent many years in stone-walled studios, crafting grand works for royal orchestras and mighty big bands. But when cold machines began to weave music ever more uniformly and without a soul, a longing awoke within him for the living moment.

So he set out with a new fellowship of companions, devoted to the art of improvisation—music blazing with energy, clear in rhythm, rich in layers, and touched by a gentle melancholy.
