Once in Togo, there were women who took what was theirs. They traded cloth, bought Mercedes, and drove themselves into freedom — they were called the Nana Benz. Today, a band carries their name: Nana Benz du Togo. Five musicians, one force. Their sound rises from the ground — raw, heavy, unstoppable. Voodoo meets soul, ancient voices collide with bass and pulse. Three singers, one Korg keyboard, nothing extra.

What remains is pressure, body, heat. Music as ritual, fierce and unyielding. When Nana Benz du Togo play, it’s not a concert — it’s an invocation.
